Our vision is to create an inclusive, equitable environment at Aster where everyone feels valued and supported. We are committed to embracing diversity and eliminating barriers to access, working together to further our mission and ensure that all individuals who are aging can thrive.

Definitions

These concepts encompass our board of directors, volunteers, employees, participants, partners, supporters, and the community-at-large in their interactions with Aster. We view all of these groups and individuals as our stakeholders.

· Diversity – We strive to represent and reflect our community in terms of a range of identities including but not limited to age, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, socioeconomic status, relationship or marital status, and cultural background.

· Equity – We promote fair, transparent, and unbiased experiences and opportunities within all levels of operations and programs of our organization.

· Inclusion – We aspire to create a culture in which we appreciate our similarities and differences, where everyone feels heard, welcomed, understood, and respected. We encourage collaboration, flexibility, and opportunities for input.

· Accessibility – We seek to empower people in overcoming barriers to ensure that everyone is able to utilize, navigate, and fully participate in all activities, facilities, and opportunities.

· Belonging – We encourage and value participation and foster connectivity, engagement, and acceptance within all levels of our organization.
