HOLIDAY HELPERS 2024
Making the holidays brighter for seniors in the East Valley
Holiday Helpers is Aster's annual tradition of bringing our community together to support seniors in the East Valley during the holiday season.
Through the generous support of our community, in 2023, over 600 seniors received gifts! The holidays were brighter last year for older adult participants in all of Aster’s programs – including Meals on Wheels, Neighbors, Home Care, Social Services, and Senior Centers. For our most isolated participants, being remembered by caring community members was even more important, as this may have been the only gift they received.
This year, the need in our community is greater than ever. Last year alone, Aster served over 7,500 older adults in our community. We are counting on your help to bring the holiday spirit to seniors in the East Valley this year!
Our Thanksgiving Luncheon is on November 22, 2024, and our Holiday Luncheon is on December 20, 2024.

We serve seniors from a wide variety of backgrounds and faiths, so we ask that all gifts that celebrate the holiday season are without a specific religious focus.
How to Get Involved
Volunteer Opportunities
Want to volunteer individually or as a group for the holidays? We are looking for help packing holiday gift baskets, serving lunch at holiday parties, assisting with holiday activities and more! This need continues year-round. Let us know if you would like to volunteer beyond the holiday season.

Pet Supplies
While support is critical for our participants during the holiday season, we also help their four legged family members who provide valuable companionship and important health benefits. Our Neighbors Pet Program welcomes gifts of dry and wet cat and dog food, toys, and treats to help our older and disabled adults care for their pets during the holidays.

Your financial contribution – of any amount – provides local seniors the gift of our programs and services. Together, we can ensure that no one needs to go through the journey of aging alone.
