Protect Yourself: Scam Prevention Class for Older Adults

Protect Yourself: Scam Prevention Class for Older Adults

Scams targeting older adults are a serious and growing concern. In 2024, seniors in the United States lost over 4 billion dollars to fraud, according to the FBI. Scammers use increasingly sophisticated methods to exploit trust, including phone calls, emails, and in-person schemes. Understanding the warning signs and knowing how to respond can make a critical difference.

Aster is partnering with the Office of the Arizona Attorney General to offer a free class focused on scam prevention. The session will provide practical guidance to help older adults recognize common scams, avoid fraud, and take appropriate action if they encounter suspicious activity.
