Exciting news! the Meals on Wheels network is participating in the Subaru Share the Love Event. Over the past fourteen years, Subaru and its retailers have helped Meals on Wheels to deliver more than 2.5 million meals nationwide to seniors in need.

Why does Subaru support Meals on Wheels? Too many seniors are struggling to stay independent and healthy. One in four seniors lives alone in isolation and one in seven seniors might not know from where their next meal is coming. This is simply unacceptable, which is why Aster Aging provides the nutritious meals, friendly visits, and safety checks to the seniors of our East Valley communities. This vital support keeps seniors in their own homes, where they want to be.

We’re incredibly grateful to Subaru and its Retailers for supporting our organization and the seniors we serve. With that in mind, we thought you might want to learn a little bit more about the Subaru Share the Love Event.

Here's How it Works

This November 17, 2022 through January 3, 2023, for every new Subaru vehicle purchased or leased, Subaru and its retailers will donate $300 to the charities of the customer’s choice.* Meals on Wheels is one of four national participating charities and has been since the inception of the event. Through this event, as a member of Meals on Wheels America, Aster will receive a share of the donation from Subaru vehicles sold at participating Subaru Retailers.

*For The Share The Love 2022 campaign, a new message stating Subaru of America and its retailers will be donating $300 per vehicle sold/leased to charity is used. Though this is a new message there are no changes to the Share The Love donations, program structure or other components of the event. This new donation figure, which will only appear on National TV spots, is a combination of Subaru of America’s ($250) donation and retailers minimum ($50) donation. Since 2014, Subaru of America has allowed retailers to enroll in a hometown charity component of Share The Love which requires them to make a minimum of $50 donation. As retailers have embraced the Love Promise and the Share The Love program, we have been able to achieve 100% retailer enrollment in the hometown charity component. With the 100% retailer participation Subaru of America can guarantee that a minimum of $300 per vehicle will be met. Customers will continue to have the ability to elect how SOA’s donation can be distributed – four national charities + retailer hometown charities. The Retailer elected donation will go directly to the hometown charities they support.
